“And inasmuch as they gave the command to leave the stump and roots of the tree, your kingdom shall be assured to you, after you come to know that Heaven rules.”

Hear from our very own church plant coordinators, local and international, who have been called out to plant churches and to continue sowing into the ground. How did these coordinators know that they were called to plant a church? How did they even begin planting the church where they are? Find out what kind of future they imagined for the church they were going to plant, the favour that they had in the process of church-planting and the faith that they had in believing that God was moving with and before them in their church-planting journey. In this workshop, we will hear about how different ones pioneer the work that they have begun.
Most big things have small beginnings and with that, in line with the vision of our church to reach the lost through small groups, this workshop will help you understand what things to look out for when you want to start a small group wherever you are. Be it a practical tip or an encouragement or taking the time to be silent and hear from God, you’ll be more equipped to start a small group of your own after this workshop!
In Acts, worship plays such an important role as we are known for our heartfelt and expressive worship, from writing songs of the house to building small worship teams everywhere. As the title suggests, what actually is the heart of worship? Is our worship defined by the type of sound system we have or whether our instruments are top range? What will worship look like when you have only a worship leader or 1 broken guitar? Can God’s anointing and presence still fall upon the people worshipping? We hope to invite and encourage you to think of worship to not just be about the stage, sound and lights, but really that worship is about God’s anointing and presence moving through the congregation and the team. The question to challenge you when you enter this workshop would be, how can we, as worshippers, build with just the minimum?
Konnichiwa! Ni hao! Salam sejahtera! As a church that believes in reaching cross-culturally across the nations, one of the common challenges faced is the language barrier. But, just because we may not speak the language, should it stop us from going for missions to a totally different culture and language? In this workshop, we hear and learn from different ones who have personal experience in breaching the language barrier when reaching out to someone who speaks a totally different language. How do we connect with a person even when we may not understand them and they may not understand us? Let’s gear up and get our engines revving to go for missions across the nations, which can also take place right at our front yard.
When we think of reaching our youth, which consists of our teens and campus students, we always think of a weekly service or gathering where the we stand on a stage and share to them. However, this 2023, Acts Church is being challenged to engage our youth in a different way, from having a stage-to-ground ministry, to bringing the entire ministry to the ground where parents, teachers, youth volunteers, can work together to help our youth assimilate into church as well as still meeting their needs and allowing them to reach their friends. Join us to learn what we can do and what tools we can use to impact the lives of our youths.
All of us are called to be the salt and light of the earth, but what does that really mean to us, working adults? Is it as simple as wearing a cross on your neck or showing your colleagues that you attend church on Sundays? Are you satisfied just fulfilling a 9 to 5 every week or are you hungry for how much more God can do through you in your workplace? Hear from our very own partners how they have heard from God and have started a small group in their workplace to reach out to both fellow believers, the unchurched, and pre-believers.
Most people know that every child has different needs, and some children have more needs than others. However, in this workshop, the team will teach us how to plan, conduct and teach children with special needs. This isn’t only to equip us to teach children but can be applied in ministering and encouraging parents with special needs children. Just like how God welcomes all the children to Him, we too should equip ourselves to welcome and minister to these little tots.
Did you know that sharing the Gospel can be through various mediums such as dance and acting? We may not be able to speak the language of the people we are reaching out to but, don’t let that stop us from still reaching out to different ones. This is a 2-part workshop that teaches us how to use various props, different mediums such as dance and drama, to share the Gospel in a different and more creative way. Time to get those creative juices to work! This workshop will explore dance.
