BACK IN THE HOUSE

Hi Ladies,

We are excited to host Bloom Conference 2022 at DVCC (Dream Village Community Centre), Summit Mall, Subang Jaya.

Our theme this year is “Courageous” – to take courage in who God has made each of us to be and to display His good hand of love and graciousness to one another.

Joshua 1:9 (NKJV) says,” This is my command—BE STRONG & COURAGEOUS! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

Whatever challenges we may be facing, whether it is in our identity, relationships, health, ministry or our jobs, we can take courage because God is with us. He is able to carry us through, even at times when we haven’t seen His promises come to pass yet. We want to celebrate and inspire a spirit of courage.

Let’s come together to experience what God has in store for us and to support, inspire and encourage one another. Invite a new friend along! I can’t wait and we look forward to seeing you there!

Senior Minister

Sandra Chin, the Senior Minister at Acts Church, is an illustrative and down-to-earth teacher of the Bible and loves to see women being released into their God-given destiny. She enjoys baking and is an avid collector of handmade pottery from her travels.

Dr Jill Ling
Elder

Dr Jill Ling is involved in providing healthcare to the marginalised and coordinating suicide prevention efforts. She’s the face of mercy and graciousness with loads of quirkiness and fun. Spends her free time baking and cooking for people she loves.

Elder Rosalind Ang
Impressionable Sweethearts (Phase < 17)

Rose is a trained accountant by profession and is currently the Director of Training and Development for Mordecai. She serves on the Board of Elders in Acts Church. Her passion is to help others discover their purpose in life and to live their most meaningful life. She is happily married to Elder Ang Peng Hoe and together, they have 2 lovely daughters. In her free time, Rose is geared up to learn new things through reading, baking, travel and adventure.

Olivia Leong
Fresh Faces (Phase 18 – 23)

Olivia graduated with a Bachelor in Computer Science from Universiti Malaya.  She currently holds the role of Project Manager in DHL’s IT Services. She serves as one of the key leaders in Acts Church (H1+ leader). Her passion is to love Jesus with her whole heart. She is blissfully married to Andrew and together, they have a son and a daughter. To unwind, she loves spending time with her family, as well as reading and listening to good music.

Joanna Dorai
Energised to Grow (Phase 24 – 35)

Joanna is the eldest daughter of Elder Dorai and Lillian at Full Gospel Assembly (FGA) KL. Raised in a heritage of missions and revival (The Bario Revival), her desire is to see the Lord do it again for the generations to come. Today she serves at a new church plant, FGACYC Sg. Long under the leadership of Pastor Daniel Chong and his wife Yit Ming. On normal days, Joanna goes to work at a global tech company as a strategy director and secretly believes life gets a little sweeter when you share a Coca-Cola.

Anita Lawrence
Power Up Ladies (Phase 36 – 45)

Anita is a John Maxwell Certified Speaker, Trainer, Coach and author of Amazon’s #1 Best-selling “Inspirational Women of the World”. She is the founder of Exceed Excellence Sdn Bhd, a training and consultancy company that exists to unlock people’s potential from all walks of life to perform at their best.

Anita has over 20 years’ experience in the training industry, where she has successfully designed programs that have transformed and moved leaders, teams and organisations to reach their desired goals.

Alongside The John Maxwell Team, she also runs the Global Youth Initiative in Malaysia on a yearly basis, a free leadership training equipping young people to be great leaders to transform communities. During her free time, Anita enjoys traveling the world and appreciates the uniqueness each culture brings.

Dr Christina Phang
Groovy Babes (Phase 46 – 55)

Dr Christina Phang is a Fellow of the UK Institute of Chemical Engineers (IChemE) and a Professional Process Safety Engineer with over 30 years’ experience in safety and risk management. She was awarded the 2016 IChemE Franklin Medal in recognition of her outstanding contribution to the field of safety and loss prevention.

She left her role as Principal Partner at ERM in 2020 after 23 years where she was one of the pioneers of the business in Malaysia. Christina currently spends time pursuing a personal passion to help others become more successful than her both in the workplace as well as within the church community.

She is married to Martin, an Achitect, and are blessed with 3 children – Rebekah (23), Nathanael (20) and Jessica (17)

Susan Lee Koh
Platinum Beauties (Phase > 56)

Susan Lee Koh holds an LLB. (Hons) from the University of London, CLP (Malaysia) and a Diploma from Tung Ling Bible College, Singapore.

She and her husband, Pr Koh Chu Soon, both have over 35 years of ministry experience in leadership, missions, teaching and counselling. They are currently pastoring in FGA Kota Damansara, a thriving church in a fast-growing suburb in Petaling Jaya. She is also involved in the Bahasa Malaysia speaking community amongst women and their families.

Married for 30 years, they have four daughters, Kimberly (married to Benjamin Liew), Alyssa, Kristen and Lauren, a grandson, Judah and granddaughter, Sophie.

Susan is especially passionate about helping youth and young adults have healthy relationships and achieve their destiny and full potential in God. She is currently an Administrator in Beyond Horizons Resource Centre.
